Why this exists.
Apps for couples tend to come in two flavors: planning a wedding, or finding a date. There's remarkably little for the part in between — the years of actually being together.
Meanwhile your phone spends all day pulling you toward strangers. Feeds, followers, other people's lives. Love You, Bye pulls the other way — toward exactly one person. One question a day. A game on a Tuesday night. The days you've been together, counted. That's it.
It's for couples who've been together long enough that the calendar took over, and for couples who are apart more than they'd like. Both need the same thing: a small daily ritual that belongs to just the two of you.
Made by one person, on purpose.
One person builds it, one person answers the support email. There's no growth team, no engagement dashboard, no metric that improves when you open the app more often. Decisions get made because they're lovely, not because they're sticky.
Small has advantages. Nothing is added to hit a quarterly number. Nothing is redesigned because a competitor did. When something's wrong, the person who reads your email is the person who can fix it.
