Common questions

How do I connect with my partner?

Open the app, tap Begin, then Invite your partner. Send them the code, link, or QR. They tap I have a code and enter it, and you confirm on your side. That's it — you're paired.

Do I need an account?

No. You can start immediately with no sign-up at all. But until you link Apple or an email in Settings, this phone is the only key to your space — losing it means losing your history. Linking takes one tap and keeps everything recoverable.

Why can't I see my partner's answer?

The daily question stays hidden until you have both answered. That's on purpose — so neither of you is influenced by the other's answer.

How does the distance feature work?

Only if you both opt in. Each of you taps to share a rough location, accurate to about a kilometre, never tracked in the background. If either of you stops sharing, neither of you sees a distance.

How do I get widgets on my Lock Screen?

Long-press your Lock Screen or Home Screen, tap Customise or the +, search for Love You, Bye, and pick a widget. Your partner's doodles, moods, and your days-together update there automatically.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete my account. You can export a full copy of your data first, free, from the same screen. Deletion finishes within 30 days and can be cancelled by signing back in before then.

Can my partner see everything I write?

Almost everything is shared by design — that's the point. The exceptions are private moods, surprise dates you mark as such, and gift claims on their wishlist, which stay hidden from them.
